The best thing first: I have managed to turn my passion into a profession. Good food and good drinks have always been important to me and my love for this profession has probably made me a master of the trade.
I learned my craft skills and sense of hospitality from scratch at the Loccumer Hof in Hanover on the southern edge of the North German Plain. A time full of memories and great stories! However, I quickly discovered that I was more drawn to the fine art of bar culture and decided to train as a bartender at the Cocktail Academy in Dortmund. Well equipped, I then began my journey across Germany, where I was able to get to know exciting people and their stories.
That's the nice thing about my job: you get to talk, listen and sometimes even be an impartial advisor. What other job offers this variety, this anonymous yet familiar interaction with people from all over the world?
My bar philosophy
I think a bar should always exude a certain personality and be suited to the bartender behind the counter. That way, he can not only practice his craft perfectly, but also be an authentic host.
My favorite drink
In my opinion, classic drinks cannot be appreciated enough. Take a Martini cocktail or the Manhattan, for example: only here can you clearly taste the fine spirits and immediately notice whether the drink has the right composition and has simply been created well.
And then there's gin. I can't discover and try enough of these new varieties. It gives me so much pleasure to give free rein to my creativity behind the bar with a new discovery...
Do you want to know which gin is my personal favorite at the moment? Then come along, I'll be there from 5 pm.
I look forward to seeing you!
